Tawsif Ahmed Siddique


Tawsif Ahmed Siddique is currently working as the Lecturer in the Department of
Mechanical Engineering, School of Science and Engineering, University of Creative
Technology, Chittagong (UCTC), Bangladesh. He is also working as Program
Coordinator of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. With a vision of gathering and
sharing knowledge with the next generation students as well as contributing in the
research field, he has started his university teaching. He is trying to give his best in
teaching through modern teaching methods and feedback systems as well as reality
based studies.
Prior to his current appointment, he worked as Research Assistant (RA) in three different
departments in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At first, he worked on the
project, entitled- “Synthesis of Different Shaped ZnO” under the Department of Physics
for seven months. Then, he joined the project “Synthesis and Characterization of
Secondary and Tertiary Ammonium Based Protic Ionic Liquids for Thermoelectrical Cell”
under the Department of Electrical Engineering for two years. Lastly, he worked on
“Waste-Water Treatment” project for four months.
Mr. T. A. Siddique has published a significant number of ISI indexed journal articles and
these articles have received a notable amount of citations. Tawsif’s H-index with Web of
Science as a scholar is 3 in his area of expertise. Although he is an energy materials
scientist, he has conducted researches in Multi-disciplinary areas. In addition to the
renewable energy, Mr. Siddique has published works in the areas of
Aerospace/Automobile Materials, Metal Matrix Composites, and Waste-water
Treatment. He has also published a book recently.
Mr. Tawsif has been identified as an influential speaker for seminar and classes. He can
strongly stimulate the audience while he talks various issues especially education &
development, philosophy of education, technology, engineering and professional
development. With a vast, wider and multidisciplinary experience in research, teaching,
and education background, Mr. Tawsif can serve the need of various departments (i.e.
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Materials Science & Engineering,
Department of Glass and Ceramics Engineering, Department of Energy Science &
Engineering, Department of Applied Physics and Department of Applied Chemistry).
Mr. T. A. Siddique received his MEngSc in 2016 from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur
50603, Malaysia. His research was on the field of “Renewable Energy”. Before his
MEngSc, he was graduated from the Department of Materials and Metallurgical
Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka
1000, Bangladesh in 2013. His undergraduate thesis was on Automobile/Aerospace
Materials (Metal Matrix Composite). He completed his Secondary and Higher Secondary
education from Chittagong Board, Bangladesh in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
Proud to be a Bangladeshi with his root in Chittagong, Tawsif is grateful to Almighty to be
the youngest child of three and the only fortunate son of his parents; Md. Kamar Uddin
Ahmad Siddique and Shahanara Begum. He is blessed by Almighty in providing him a
wonderfully supportive wife; Umma Habiba. He owes to his family and relatives for their
continuous support and help to achieve his current position.
