Mr. Nisadur Rahman has been working as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Creative Technology Chittagong (UCTC) since January, 2025. As a full-time faculty member, he conducts both theoretical and lab courses of the undergraduate students.

He has completed his graduation and post-graduation with a B.Sc. and M.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the University of Chittagong with securing 1st merit position. His outstanding academic performance has been recognized with the University’s Talent Pool Merit Scholarship and the Outstanding Student Merit Award, as well as the ICT Division’s prestigious research fellowship at the 1st round of the fiscal year 2023-2024 for his M.S. research work.

His current research focuses on developing energy-efficient, reconfigurable photonic interconnects utilizing plasmonic nanostructures, which are essential for the future of optical communication networks.

1. ICT Division Research Fellowship
Awarded the prestigious ‘ICT Fellowship’ 2023-2024 by the ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication, and Information Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, in appreciation of my Master’s research. I am one of the 36 research fellows (MS, MPhil, Ph.D.; 2023-2024; First round) to receive this fellowship.

2. University Talent Pool Merit Scholarship
This scholarship is given to the students of the University of Chittagong by the University authority for their academic excellence. Only selected students achieve this award based on their outstanding undergrad results. I got this scholarship for securing 1st merit position in B.Sc. Engineering.

3. Outstanding Student Merit Award at CU EEE FEST 2023
This award is given to the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Chittagong by the authority for their academic excellence.
