Projnya Mojumdar is a lecturer and researcher whose work focuses on building theoretical frameworks to address bias in language education. Her primary contribution is the Critical Extension Framework (CEF), a new model for equitable ESL writing assessment that separates a student’s language proficiency from their culturally specific rhetorical style.
This work is the culmination of her interdisciplinary research in cognitive science, applied linguistics, and postcolonial theory. It is driven by a practical commitment to social equity, demonstrated through her previous fellowship with a prominent multinational NGO, where she designed and uted a groundbreaking community project aimed at addressing gender bias
