UCTC delivered a commanding start to the Ispahani–Prothom Alo Inter-University Football Tournament by defeating BGC Trust University. After a 1–1 draw in regular time, UCTC sealed the win with a 5–4 result in the tie-breaker. Captain Auntim earned Man of the Match honors for his exceptional performance throughout the game.
