The University of Creative Technology Chittagong (UCTC) recently held a planning meeting to organise its first-ever international conference, aimed at boosting research and academic collaboration.
The session took place in the university’s conference room and featured detailed discussions on the conference program and arrangements. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Zahid Hossain Sharif, with UCTC founder Mohammed Osman attending as the chief guest.
Mohammed Osman emphasized the importance of research in higher education, saying that research forms the core of a university. He stated that by convening a conference of international standards, UCTC would make a notable contribution to the country’s higher education and research sectors. The conference would provide students with valuable opportunities to engage with leading researchers from around the world, he added.
Speakers at the meeting hoped that the conference would serve as a premier platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise between local and international researchers.
Faculty members and officials expressed confidence that, with joint collaboration, UCTC’s first international conference would mark a significant milestone in the university’s academic development.
