Rishikesh Chowdhury is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the
University of Creative Technology Chittagong (UCTC), Bangladesh. He was awarded the prestigious ICCR
Scholarship, a fully funded Indian Government scholarship, as an international scholar to pursue his
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and
graduated in 2019. With a strong focus on Automotive Engineering, Rishikesh brings over a year of
industrial research experience and nearly three years of academic instruction.
At UCTC, Rishikesh guides first-year students through foundational concepts in his course, "Introduction
to Mechanical Engineering," establishing a strong technical base for their academic journey. He also
leads "Solid Modelling & Assembly," where he equips students with advanced computer-aided design
skills using CATIA and AutoCAD. In "Automobile Engineering," he explores the core principles of
automotive systems, preparing students to analyze and understand modern vehicle technologies.
Rishikesh’s industrial experience at the very first of his career includes contributing to the R&D
department of Bangladesh’s leading automobile manufacturer, where he conducted performance tests
using Engine and Chassis dynamometers. His expertise in 3D scanning and design enabled him to
enhance chassis components, furthering his proficiency in automotive innovation.
Currently, he is mentoring final-year student projects, including research on pulsating heat pipe cooling
systems and the development of self-charging electric bicycles. He has established a Vapor Compression Refrigeration System (VCRS) in the thermal lab and is spearheading the development of an Internal
Combustion (IC) Engine lab.
In addition to his academic roles, Rishikesh actively contributes to extracurricular activities at UCTC. He
serves as an advisor to the Creative Mechanical Club (CRMC), which encourages students to engage in
innovative mechanical engineering projects, and is also the Joint Secretary of the Central Cultural
Committee, promoting cultural events and activities on campus.
Rishikesh is eager to collaborate on innovative research in automotive and mechanical engineering. Feel
free to contact him for potential collaborations or academic discussions
